By Enos Masereka,
The local residents of Kitsutsu village, Munkunyu sub-county in Kasese District have called for the interventions by Hon. Florence Kabugho into the water challenges they partly blame for the increasing cases of teen pregnancies and defilement in the area.
According to the locals, young girls trek long distances and over stay out of their homes for water, thus, being a target to irresponsible men who abuse them.
Mr. Daniel Makupe, the head of laity at St. James Kitsutsu church of Uganda who said about 200 million shillings was required for their Church construction, asked Hon. Florence to legislate over the challenge, as well as the unevenly distributed health facilities and schools in the areas. Mr. Makepe speaking………
Hon. Florence later pledged her continued lobbying before asking Christians to be innovative and develop talents that would otherwise be a source of livelihoods in future. Hon. Florence speaking….
Close to two million shillings was collected at the mini-fundraising at the Church. END
