A section of local residents of Ndughuthu village in Bugoye subcounty in Kasese district has called for urgent interventions into the inconsistency in the flow of water under Ndughuthu gravity water scheme, as mean to guarantee sanitation and good health among the local residents in the area.
Speaking to Kasese Guide Radio in Kasese town yesterday, Mr. Augustine Bagum, a 65 -year old man said whereas they were proud of water flow scheme that was constructed years back, her supply was currently unreliable, forcing the local community members to drink unsafe water from River Sebwe.
He calls for urgent interventions by the Kasese district leadership into the concerns to save lives. Mr. Baguma speaking……
Mr. Vicent Abooki, like other local residents, concurred with Mr. Baguma, adding that that bad roads were also other challenges frustrating trade, education, health and pastoral work among God’s servants in the area. Mr. Abooki speaking……
He also called for a deliberateplan by the political, cultural and religious leaders to sensitize the local community members, some of whom do not value education among their children. END
