By Augustine Mumbere,
Mr. Tom Thumwanze Bamwegha, an aspirant for the Busongora County South MP seat in the recently concluded National Resistance Movement elections, has called for double efforts in sensitizing the community members about the value in voting for political leaders.
He said the low turn up for polls but relatively empty political talk under trees during the recently concluded NRM like other elections in the past, was a sign of irresponsibility by the local community members who need to double efforts for civic education.
Speaking to our reporter at the Kasese district NRM offices on Monday, Mr. Thumwanze asks the local community members to turn up in big numbers for elections that determine future leaderships that need to be in their interest. Mr. Thumwanze speaking…….
His counterpart for Busongora Counter North, Mr. Mike Asiimwe Mbakania, blames the situation to some NRM leaders in Kasese who demoralize the voters by reportedly declaring election results that do not always reflect the will of the locals. Mr. Mbakana speaking….. He calls for professionalism by some NRM party leaders who need to prioritize the interests of the party members. END
