Market vendors operating in Mpondwe-Lhubiriha Market in Kasese District have expressed deep dissatisfaction over the poor hygiene conditions in their working environment.
A Mini survey conducted by our reporter yesterday met vendors dealing in charcoal, matooke, onions, and tomatoes, who were visibly distressed by the appalling state of hygiene near public toilets and garbage collection center that has not been cleared for a long time.



Ms. Harriet Biira, the chairperson of matooke dealers, testified that vendors are living in fear of contracting diseases due to poor sanitary conditions.
Ms. Brenda Masika, the leader of the charcoal dealers, decried the appalling garbage mixed with human feces, calling for urgent intervention by the town council leadership to save lives. Ms. Harriet and Brenda….
