Queen Elizabeth protected area fetched the highest revenue among National parks in Rwenzori Sub region, the Chief Executive Officer for Uganda Wild life Authority, Mr. Sam Mwandha has said.
Addressing a stakeholders` meeting during the award of the Revenue sharing to the thirteen districts that neighbor national parks in the sub-region yesterday, Mr. Mwandha attributes the high collections of more than 2 billion shillings last financial year by Queen Elizabeth national park to the full support of the community which translated into a high number of visitors to the conserved area. Kasese, Bundibugyo, Ntoroko, Kabarole, Bunyangabo, Rukungiri, Kyenjonjo, Kyegegwa, Kitagwenda, Kanungu, Kamwenge, Ibanda and Mitooma districts are the beneficiaries of the revenue share from UWA. END.
