Uganda Wildlife Authority has issued new guidelines concerning the 20% revenue sharing to sub-counties neighboring Queen Elizabeth National park.
Under the guidelines, sub-county chiefs are tasked to account for the previous releases and submit their project proposals to UWA before this years’ release.
During a meeting of local council three chairpersons held at Kasese District council hall yesterday, Mr. Ham Natuhwera, the district vice chairperson, gave an ultimatum of two weeks to sub-county chiefs to have submitted the accountabilities of 2021-2023 to the district.

Mr. Wilson Asiimwe, the local council three chairperson for Lake Katwe sub-county and Mr. Sunday Peter Kakule called for collaborated efforts with Kasese District Local Government and UWA. END.
