The Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) has launched an investigation following the deaths of three sub-adult lions in Queen Elizabeth National Park.
The incident was detected using Earth Ranger Technology, which flagged unusual movement patterns of a collared lion in the Nyamugasani area earlier today.
Upon inspection, UWA teams discovered three dead lion’s two males and one female.
During follow-up searches, investigators found a cow carcass in the same area, partly placed in a bag containing unknown substances while the remainder was left exposed.
Additional items, including a panga and slippers, were also recovered near the carcass. UWA has informed the Kasese Police, and both agencies are conducting a joint investigation. End
