The Uganda Wildlife Authority-UWA has released over Sixty Million shillings as revenue sharing fund to Isango Sub-County in Kasese district.
The funds for the financial year 2019-2020 and 2021 have reflected on the sub-county account, the LC3 chairperson, Mr. Moses Tsutsu has said.
The money will be shared among four parishes in the sub-county through proper implementation of their budgets and work plans.
Speaking to Kasese guide radio this afternoon at his office, Tsutsu says,
Kyempara parish required purchase of land to house health Centre three headquarters and installation of ten thousand litre tank, while Harukungu parish proposed construction of two classroom blocks among others.

He urged the community leaders to assist the park to fight illegal activities in the protected area.
Tsutsu vowed to ensure that the revenue gets to the communities affected by the park activities. This money is a form of indirect compensation to the people facing direct effects of the Queen Elizabeth National park. END.
