    By Peter Masereka,

The Bishop of the diocese of Kasese, Rt. Rev. Francis Aquirinus Kibira Kambale has argued Christians against laziness but rather use the God given talents and strength to neutralize poverty and food insecurity.

In his homily while presiding over Holy Mass at Musasa Playground in Kyalhumba Parish where he confirmed 461 Christians into the Catholic faith, Bishop Kibira thanked God for the fertile Mt. Rwenzori that Christians should turn productive against food insecurity and poverty than spending all their time sleeping.

The Pastor did not spare drunkard and drug abusers whom he asked to have change of mind or else, they are potential clients of cancer, kidney failure, mental disorder and other chronicle diseases among others, as well as promoters of domestic violence he said has frustrated the institution of family. Bishop Kibira speaking1…….

He also asked woman to use their knowledge and talents by engaging in various productive activities that will improve their livelihoods, taking good care and educating their children, as well as loving and helping those in need. Bishop Kibira speaking2……

Mr. Robert Bwanganga, the Parish head of laity said the parish has a number of challenges frustrating development, including unemployment, land grabbing and poor Church infrastructure among others, before announcing plans for an orphanage center to cater for the increasing number of orphans and abandoned children in the greater Kyalhumba area. Mr. Bwanganga speaking……

The Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Cosmas Asaba encouraged parents to buy bibles and other church books to their children or else they may miss on confirmation in future. END
