The design of the new roads to be constructed in Kasese Municipality this financial year under the USMID Phase II project will be upgraded, according to the Kasese Municipal Mayor, His Worship Chance Kahindo.
According to Chance, the new road designs will include pedestrian walkways, motorcycle lanes, and vehicle lanes, with trees planted along the road centers to enhance beauty and environmental sustainability.
The roads are, Dr. Henry Bwambale, Mutanywana road-Kidodo, Kyebambe road, Cathedral Hills both Catholic and Protestant, Lincon road-connecting Delta-Margarita and Nyakasanga road, Keyisiga road, connecting, Kilembequarters, Kasese SDA primary school to Mbarara Road and Rwesamba road that connects Katadoba-Bright Academy secondary school.
Chance, who noted that Kasese Municipality may soon be elevated to city status, warned the local community against allowing roaming animals, which he said are undermining the beautification efforts of the town.
He vowed to take action against individuals who may attempt to sabotage the World Bank-funded program, emphasizing the importance of protecting service delivery initiatives. Mr. Chance one speaking…
He also took the opportunity to inform the public that he has begun rehabilitation works on the Kyababinga community access roads, aiming to improve connectivity and boost local business activities.

He urged people to own government programs than wasting time politicking services out of the taxi payers money. END
