The Uganda Peoples Defense Forces has launched a medical camp in Luwero District as part of the activities leading up to the Tarehe Sita celebrations.
Tarehe Sita, which means the “sixth day of the month” in Kiswahili, commemorates the National Resistance Army’s daring attack on Kabamba barracks.
This year’s national celebrations, the 44th, are set for Thursday, February 6, 2025, in Kyotera District under the theme: “Celebrating Pan-Africanism in Solidarity and People’s Sacrifice in the Struggle for Freedom and Democracy for Socio-Economic Transformation.”
The medical camp, located at Luwero Hospital along the Kampala-Gulu highway in Luwero Town Council, offers a range of services, including safe male circumcision and blood donation, according to Brig. Gen. Charles Byanyima, Commander of the UPDF Motorized Infantry Division. END
