Dr. Cleophas Mugenyi, the Commissioner Basic Education Ministry of Education and sports has asked Kasese RDC, Lt. Joe Walunsimbi and the Kasese Municipal town clerk to close permanently unlicensed private schools.
He cautioned parents and guardians against taking their children to unlicensed private schools that do not meet government standards.
Addressing Journalists at Kasese P.7 School in Kasese town yesterday afternoon, Dr. Cleophas, emphasized that government procedure is clear that proprietors of private schools should seek permission from government and meet the basic requirements and minimum standards before operations.
