Reports reaching Kasese guide Radio this morning indicates that unknown people have reportedly stolen four and half acres of immature Vanilla beans, in Matera Village Mahango sub-county in Kasese District.

No yet an official comment from police, but the parish communicator for Kakone Parish in Kitabu Sub-County, Mr. Didas Bwambale has confirmed the information and identified the affected as Mr. Simon Bwambale Thalegha  and  Nguluma Kambale both residents in Matera Village.

    Mr. Didas Speaking;……

One of the farmers Mr. Simon Thalegha said despite vanilla farming being profitable, it has proved to be a risky venture threatening lives of farmers and those dealing in it.

Mr. Simon threatened to abandon the business because of the endless battles they engage in with thieves.
