By Augustine Mumbere,
Traders at the Mpondwe-Lhubiriha animal withholding grounds were this morning treated to shock after the unknown Congolese man who disguised as a potential goat’s buyer bargained to buy 100 goats but later escaped leaving them stranded with the animals he had ordered them load on the track.
No official comment yet from police, whoever the vice chairperson for Rufura Goats Traders Association in Mpondwe Lhubiriha town council, Mr. Joseph Mbuluta confirmed the information and said the suspected man who claimed to be having dollars asked traders to wait for him as he exchanges to Uganda shillings but failed to return.
Mr. Mbuluta speaking……
Whereas today was a fool’s day, some traders expressed their disappointments saying people should look for other simple alternatives to fool people alleging the suspect to be a pure thief who could later steal them of their animals. END
