Nyakiyumbu Sub County in Kasese district will this financial year receive One Hundred million shillings under Local Climate Adaptation Living-“LOCAL” program for the extension of a Mini irrigation scheme at River Bukangara, Mr. Peter Sunday Kakule, the area local council three chairperson has said.
In his state of address held yesterday during council sitting at the sub county headquarters, Mr. Kakule, revealed that his request to the District Production Department aimed to boost food production and sustainable livelihoods at household levels had yielded positive results.
