As many as 64 new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed by Uganda’s health ministry, as the country continues with efforts to curb the spread of the ubiquitous virus.
From the latest set of results done yesterday, three deaths were recorded, bringing the cumulative death toll to 25.
The statistics made public by the health ministry today on its official Twitter page show that the cumulative confirmed cases of Ugandans is now at 2,426 and a total of 1,267 people have recovered from the virus.
Meanwhile, two police officers at Manafwa Central Police Station in Manafwa District have tested positive for Covid19.
The Elgon Region Police Spokesperson, Rogers Taitika said the officers are among 28 police officers and 6 suspects whose samples were picked yesterday after one of the suspects in the cells at Manafwa Central Police Station tested positive for Covid-19 prompting the authorities to temporarily close the station.
