Ms Mary Karumela, 57 and Ms Justine Masika 43, were both among the local residents of Congo-Quarter in Nyakabingo III Ward in Kasese Municipality who allege are always sidelined from any benefits to those whose crops, gardens and houses are damaged by the devastating River Nyamwamba floods, thus, demanding for inclusive plans by the Kasese Municipal leaders.
Speaking to our reporter during the popular door to door political campaigns by Mr. Francis Kithulha Mugisa, an independent candidate for Kasese Municipal Parliamentary seat come 2026 general elections, the duo listed poverty, food insecurity, discrimination, poor roads and sanitation, as key challenging issues requiring immediate interventions by the political leadership.
