    UGANDA: Vicar General of Kasese Diocese condemns ppolitical interference with justice system.

    The Vicar General of the Diocese of Kasese, Msgr. Landaus Bwambale has called on Politicians against discriminative inference with the judicial system to satisfy their individual goals.

    Presiding over a homily during the Requiem Mass for the late Sr. Dalia Muhindo Rujumba of the Congregation of the Little Sisters of Presentation of Mary in the Temple at Bukangara Parish headquarters, Msgr. Landaus` comment follows an incident where Parliament has seemed to be on tension over the arrest over murder allegations of Members of Parliament (MPs) Sewanyana and Segirinya.

    Msgr. Landaus was concerned that whereas many lives have been lost in the hands of men machetes in Masaka, legislators seem to be only bothered by the arrest of fellow MPs.

    He said whereas he was concerned about the method of arresting the said suspected MPs, he asks Legislators to allow justice take its course without any political interference and threat.

    Rev Sr. Juliet Rujumba described the death of her late elder Sister as God’s plan that has come at his wish that should not be mixed with human thinking and interpretation.

    Meanwhile Member of Parliament for Bukonzo West County Hon. Godfrey Katusabe Atkins who extended his condolence to the bereaved family, the congregation and the diocese of Kasese has called on the family of Sr Dalia to groom another child to serve God.

    On her part, Kasese District Woman MP Hon. Florence Kabugho has urged young men and women to emulate the Religious by sacrificing their lives for the service of the Lord.

     The Bishop of the Diocese of Kasese, Rt. Rev. Francis Kibira through the vicar General Msgr Landaus extended his heartfelt condolence and sympathies to the family and the congregation for the loss with hope that God will welcome the soul of Sr. Dalia.

    The late Rev. Sr. Dalia Muhindo died on 1st October 2021 in a car accident at lhubiriha at the Ugandan Boarder with the Democratic republic of Congo. The late Rev. Sister Dalia Muhindo was with other nuns of the congregation of the Little Sisters of Presentation of Mary in the Temple whose Mother House is located in Butembo-Beni in the Democratic republic of Congo and they were coming Uganda to prepare for the profession of the first vows of Sr. Odeta Natukunda at St. Mbaga Tuzinde, Bukangara Novitiate in Bukangara Parish in the Diocese of Kasese, a function that was to take place on Sunday 3rd October 2021.

    Rev Fr. John Baptist Kule, the Parish Priest for Bukangara Parish described death as part of life but added that securing the souls depends on the away believers relate with Christ.

    He called on the faithful to pray for the late Sr. Dalia, her family and the community she served.

    The Parish Priest for Kyalhumba where the late Dalia hails, Thatha Kamalha Buhaka sympathized with the bereaved family that he asked to be calm, firm and prayerful.

    The Late Rev. Sr. Dalia Muhindo, a trained catechist hailed from the Diocese of Kasese and was among the pioneer members to join the Congregation.

    The late Sr. Dalia trained, professed and worked in the Democratic Republic of Congo. She died at the age of 41 and was buried on Sunday 3rd October 2021 at St. Mbaga Tuzinde Bukangara Novitiate Bukangara Parish Diocese of Kasese-Uganda.

    In her report, the Congregation Regional Superior, Sr. Antonite Kabugho confirmed that Thursday 07th Oct 2021 has been scheduled for the profession of the first vows for Sr. Odeta Natukunda at St. Mbaga Tuzinde, Bukamgara Novitiate.
