Uganda will next month start tests for a potential Coronavirus cure, President Museveni has announced.
Addressing the country yesterday(29th.november.2020) evening, Museveni said for the past few months, experts have been doing trials on the cure and noted it is now ready for testing on humans.
According to Museveni, after a period of 40 days, experts will have got results.
The President described the development as a great stride in the war against the virus which has ravaged the world for over a year since it broke out from the Chinese city of Wuhan last year.

Mr. Museveni said Government is to compensate all people who were not rioters but were killed during the recent Riots over the arrest of National Unity platform –NUP, Hon.Kyagulanyi Robert Sentamu.

He says one incident happened in Nsangi, where a Police officer named Kidega was injured by rioters and that one of the white pickup seen in footage with personnel shooting at rioters was evacuating the injured officer.
The other incident apparently happened in Mukono on the junction with Kayunga, and Museveni says they are going to investigate what exactly happened using CCTV footages. END.
