14 new people have succumbed to COVID-19, according to figures released by the Ministry of Health last night.
This brings the total number of Ugandans to succumb to the viral respiratory disease to 131.
Also, a total of 284 people tested positive bringing the cumulative number of confirmed positives to be recorded in the Country to 13,852.
However, only this week more than a thousand cases have been recorded with 434 cases reported last Sunday, followed with 209 other new cases of N Monday. From Tuesday to Thursday, the Country recorded 248, 252 and 217 cases respectively.
Even as the new cases reported daily have increased, Health Minister Dr Jane Ruth Aceng told the press that this may not be the true picture in the community since some districts have not been reporting due to lack of funds for surveillance. END
