    Uganda launches road-building in Congo to boost trade

    The construction works of Kasindi –Butembo-Beni Tarmac road has been launched this morning in a bid to strengthen security and Boost cross border trade between the two countries.

    Representing the Republic of Uganda Gen.Kayanja Muhanga associated the launch to fruits from the joint meeting between President Museveni and President Felix Kisekedi of DRC who recently flagged off joint road project.

    Representing DRC Government, Gen. Bombele Camille told the gathering at Ugandan boarder post that Congolese are yearning to just have a look at Gen.Kayanja Muhanga, commander of UPDF operation shujja who has flushed the ADF ruminants in DRC.

    Col Bombele said the road will not only boost business but create unity and peace between the two countries.Gen. Bombele speaking……

    The Project Eng. DOTT services limited, Eng. A Nagendra said they are going to start construction of one hundred thirty five kilometer tarmac from Kasindi to Butembo next week, as well as other roads including, Bunagana-DRC road, calling for collaborated efforts among all stakeholders.Eng.Nagendra on tarmac……

    The Chairperson LC 3 Mpondwe Lhubiriha town council, Mr.Selevest Mapoze asked his electorates to position themselves strategically, if they are to benefit from the multi-billion project.Mr. Mapoze on road………

    Kasese district Boss, Mr.Erifaz Muhindi Bukombi, who described residents as primary beneficiaries of the development, challenged them to jealously guard the project. Mr.Muhindi on DRC Road………
