Uganda is harboring a number of highly trained assassins, with sophisticated techniques to execute high profile attacks, according to Maj. Gen Gregory Mugisha Muntu, a former army commander and now president of the Alliance for National Transformation political party.
Gen. Muntu was speaking from Medipal International Hospital in Kampala after visiting former Works Minister and Army MP General Katumba Wamala, who survived an assassination attempt on Tuesday along Kisota road in the Bukoto-Kisaasi neighbourhood, in an attack that left two people dead.
According to Muntu, Ugandans who have served security forces in Iraq, Afghanistan and Somalia have acquired skills that are far better than the capacity of local security personnel, making them a threat to Uganda.
The former Bush war fighter warns the government to double its efforts to guarantee the safety and security of the citizens.
Gen. Muntuyera speaking…..
President Yoweri Museveni earlier said that security forces had a clue on the people who made an attempt on Gen Katumba’s life, adding that they will be brought to book. END
