As Senior Four students across the country begun their Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) examinations, the Kasese District Education Officer, Mr. Earnest Bwambale Thabugha, has urged teachers to desist from engaging in any form of malpractice.

The examinations, conducted by the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB), officially mark the start of the 2025 national examination cycle, with candidates sitting for Geography Paper One in the morning and Biology in the afternoon.
Speaking to our reporter this afternoon at his office in Rukoki, Mr. Thabugha warned against vices such as cheating and smuggling of answer sheets, describing them as unethical practices that undermine the integrity of the examination process.
The educationist stressed that any school found guilty of facilitating cheating would face appropriate disciplinary action.
