A two months old baby girl was this afternoon rushed to Kilembe mines Hospital in perilous condition after she was allegedly cut on the head during a land wrangle in Nyamisule village of Mahango sub county, Kasese district.
The Chairperson LC 3 for Mahango sub county Mr. Eric Mathu Muhasa confirmed the information and identified the suspects as Mr. Albert Kajungu, Kikakambwe and Kule all residents of Kyarumba sub county in Kasese district.
Mr. Mathu said the incident happened when a team of men from Kyarumba led by Mr. Albert Kajungu attacked a woman over the disputed land. By the time of the incident the woman was carrying a baby who was then injured on the head in the process of the scuffle.

The mother to the baby Ms Rosemary Biira who spoke to our reporter at the hospital bed said her baby was hit on the head by a panga that was targeting her shoulder. Ms Rosemary speaking………
Maathu had earlier reported that the key suspect Albert Kajungu is now in custody of Mahango police awaiting transfer to the Kasese central police station. END.
