Two catechists have been installed as Eucharistic ministers and over 170 Confirmed into the Roman Catholic faith today by the Ordinary of the Diocese of Kasese Rt. Rev. Francis Aquirinus Kibira at Kirembe Roman Catholic church in Kasese Municipality, with a call on school proprietors to employ catechists to teach catechism in the local language.
The Eucharistic ministers include, Catechist. Jerome Sibitsomwa Masereka, head Catechist St. Johns Kisanga RCC who doubles as an employee of Kasese Guide Radio and Catechist Anna Kyarabiro Nyakairu of St. Andrews Mwaru Roman Catholic church.

In his homily while presiding over Holy mass at Kirembe Roman Catholic Church where he also opened the church as a Eucharistic Center, Bishop Kibira warned schools against only teaching learners to cram and pass exams, imploring school to employ catechist to teach learners in their local language. Catechist Jerome Sibitsomwa and Annah hailed the Almighty Lord who called them to the alter and Bishop Kibira for blessing them, calling for more prayers as they look forward towards serving the lord.

Mr. Safari Martin, the LC3 Chairperson for central Division in Kasese Municipality asked believers in Christ at Kirembe to utilize the presence of Eucharistic Center in the area by renewing the faith through the sacrament.
