The Deputy Chief Administrative Officer for Kasese District, Mr. Eriab Begumya Ntarweta has called for investigations under which two officials from Registry were allegedly soliciting thirty thousand shillings from the newly appointed District employees meant to process their staff employment cards.
It’s alleged that Ms. Hellen Nakato and Ronald Kato were reportedly soliciting funds to help process employment cards for the recently appointed employees into public service.
In a closed meeting attended by the Deputy CAO, District boss, Mr. Erifaz Muhindi, District Executive Committee and suspected employees held at the former district council hall this afternoon, Mr. Ntarweta directed, Mr. Ronald Kato and Helen to refund the money with immediate effect to the newly appointed employees, including, Mr. Jockim Bwambale and Jockim Mumbere hailing from the sub-counties of Kisinga and Nyakabingo among others.Mr. Ntarweta and employees speaking…
However, the Principal Human Resource officer, Mr. Samson Bihanikire said, during the reign of the former CAO, Mr. Goerge Kanyesige, the then administration resolved that newly recruited employees can at will contribute between twenty to thirty thousand shillings to help process employment cards for Kasese District Local Government as they wait for Government issuance of cards that take long time.
