Police in Maliba town council is holding two people on allegations of harvesting green coffee cherries, Kasese Guide Radio has learnt.
No official statement yet from Police but the chairperson Kamabale trading centre in Kisanga Village Maliba sub-county in Kasese district,Ms.Sumini Kengele has identified the suspects as, Mr.John Kahungele 40 year-old business man and Ms. Keven Biira 23.
Mr. Mwahulhwa Wilson, the Agricultural officer for Maliba sub-county told our reporter that more five suspects are on the run over similar charges.
These are, Baluku Majidu,Rogers Muhindo, Muliwabyo Kamida, Kule Budget and Mubalya Herizon all residents of Kisanga village.

In a separate interview Mr.Erisania Bwambale, a resident of Kathabukenene village and Phenahas Kikundi of Bweyale trading centre in Maliba sub-county, requested police to prepare files for the suspects so that they are produced in court, reaffirming that President Museveni’s directive of denying Police bond to suspected thieves should begin with the two suspects in custody.
