The Principal Commercial officer Kasese district together with the Deputy Chief Administrative Officer Mr. Eriab Nteretwe Begumya have permanently suspended three Parish Development Model Executive committees in Kirabaho-Kabatunda town council on allegations of misappropriation of funds.
It’s alleged that the embattled PDM committees extorted millions of money from beneficiaries in Karambi, Mabwe and Kabatunda wards respectively.
Addressing hundreds of PDM beneficiaries today at Kibanzanga High School in Kirabaho-Kabatunda town council, Nteretwe was shocked to witness town agents including, Mr.Mbasa Amon for Kirabaho ward and Mr. Godfrey Kikumbwa of Karambi ward storming out of the Barraza shortly after introduction and run away in fear of being arrested.
Some irate beneficiaries traced them after being caught unaware but in vain.
However, the Deputy CAO asked the embattled town agents to hand themselves to Police or risk losing their Jobs.
