Martin Muggara, the minister of state for tourism rallied Arabs to come to Uganda in equal numbers as Ugandans who go to the Middle East.
The minister made the call last evening while launching a new airline named Saudia, which commenced direct flights between Uganda and Saudi Arabia.
He noted that aside from its beautiful features, climate, flora, and fauna, Uganda has a wide market for several products and services.
The minister welcomed the new airline saying, it will go a long way in promoting trade between the two destinations especially boosting Uganda’s agriculture sector and tourism.
Represented by Faisal Mbarire, the minister of state for transport Fred Byamukama said, the new airline presents opportunities for travelers between the two countries through improved connections.
The minister said, government recognizes the role played by air transport. END
