Police in Kasese District have recovered over one ton of electricity wires from suspected thieves.
The wires were found in a room occupied by Nyasio Kule, a resident of Katonzi Cell, Nyakabingo II1 Ward, Bulembia Division.
In addition to the wires, police also recovered tools believed to have been used for breaking into houses and vandalizing electric wires
The wires reportedly belong to Kilembe Mines Limited.
