Mr. Samson Mutahunga, the local council one chairperson for Mumbuzi cell in Kasese Municipality has called for thorough inspection on the electric poles some of which could have been affected by this week’s floods in Kasese town.
In an interview with Kasese Guide radio last evening, Mr. Mutahunga who sympathized with his affected voters over the destructive floods by River Nyamwamba, said that now that most parts of cell and beyond had been flooded Umeme, the Hydropower supplier should make thorough inspection on the power lines to guarantee the safety of the locals.

Mr. Kiiza Bagheni, a brother to Mr. Zubairi Bagheni whose house was partly hit and destroyed by floods yesterday, called for expedited plans to have the trench in the neighborhood complete for the safety of the local residents and their property. Mr. Kiiza on rescue ……
The local residents interviewed later last evening appreciated Kasese Municipal and district leaderships for their intervention that saw D9 excavators put to work to redirect the flooding waters. END
