Kasese Tourism Investment Forum has trekked twenty one kilometers, stretching from Kasese town to Mt. Rwenzori National Park main gate ahead of Theluji Marathon 2023, Eng. Rev. Deacon Gabriel Fataki has confirmed.
Speaking to our reporter at the end of the trek, Eng. Deacon Fataki who asked the local community to prepare and support the marathon, said the purpose of the walk was to establish the exact distance that will later help their experts to locate the route on the world map by September this year. Mr. Henry Baguma, a member of the Kasese Tourism Investment Board who made a Courtesy visit to Nyakabugha Catholic Church in Ibanda-Kyanya town council, described Mt. Rwenzori as the beautiful Mountain in the world that the local community members should cherish for tourism and business development.
At the church where Ms. Sarah Biira Mutoro was leading a donors’ conference, Mr. Baguma was concerned that whereas Mt. Rwenzori was the most beautiful mountain in the world, it’s the less productive physical feature in terms of foreign exchange compared to the rest in the neighboring countries. Mr. Baguma speaking………
