    The office of the Kasese RDC has been petitioned by a section of sports lovers against relocating some Mawa market venders to Nyakasanga play ground.

    A section of sports lovers in Kasese Municipality have petitioned the office of the Kasese RDC against plans to relocate some Mawa market vendors to Nyakasanga play ground as a measure to implement social distancing as recommended by government to minimize the spread of COVID-19.

    The Kasese Deputy RDC, Mr. Joshua Masereka confirmed the petition by some sports lovers he said his office had called for a meeting to harmonize the situation.

    Mr. Joshua who wondered what relevancy the play ground would be to the sickly community if no measures were put in place, asked the petitioners to know that the country was fighting an epidemic that has to be neutralized before it’s too late for Uganda. Mr. Joshua speaking1….

    He said as Kasese district Task force on COVID 19, they had agreed with the Nyamwamba Division and Kasese Municipality leadership about the move to decongest Mawa market they had thought of closing at first but changed mind for the safety of the Kasese people.

    Mr. Joshua who insisted families to send food to their relatives in the quarantine related COVID-19 as an abrupt war attack that people should not compare to a wedding party that requires timely and thorough preparations.
