    The Archbishop of the Church of Uganda has asked Ugandans to include the medics & the Clergy on the long list of the needy people to be supported duringthis pandemic.

    The Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, the Most Rev. Samuel Stephen Kazimba Mugalu has asked Ugandans to include the medics and the Clergy on the long list of the needy people who have to be supported during this COVID-19 emergency lock down.

    Handing over Personal Protective Equipment to the administration of Mengo hospital yesterday, Archbishop Kazimba Archbishop said that however small a donation is, it can make a big difference to the medical personnel and other people who provide services in the country during the current crisis.

    The Archbishop who said that it is very important to think about the well-being of the medics wondered how the clergy in different Churches are surviving in the current crisis when churches are closed and food relief only focusing what people perceive as vulnerable without looking at Church Ministers.     Dr Patrick Luwagga, the Mengo Hospital Deputy Medical Director described the Arch Bishop`s donation as timely in protecting staff that is at the high risk during this corona virus pandemic.

    Earlier, the Arch Bishop asked Ugandans against lamentations and un called for excuses but rather to meet the technical health guidelines. END
