Mr. Henry Kabiriri, the Kasese Assistant Resident District Commissioner in charge of Busongora County has urged people in Kasese to adopt terracing methods to avoid increased incidents of landslides and floods.
Addressing officials from the Albertine Water Management zone held at Kasese Municipal Central division council hall yesterday afternoon, Mr. Kabiriri said poor farming are some of the causes of disasters in Kasese district.
Kabiriri who said disasters in Kasese are similar to that in Budada district, added that terracing used to be a rule in Kasese, but when the leaders who introduced it went, the residents also gave up on the practice. Mr. Kabiriri speaking…..
