Hon. Robert Centenary, the former Kasese municipal Member of Parliament has said temporary works against the flooding Nyamwamba River, has commenced after he engaged the State Minister for Works and Transport for a low bed truck to transport an excavator from Kyondo subcounty in Kasese district to desilt the river valley.
Speaking to our reporter at Nyamwamba division headquarters yesterday, Hon. Centenary who asked those in leadership to engage stakeholders for a lasting solution, said whereas the Wanainchi had succeeded in asking for an excavator from UNRA, securing a required low bed carrier had been a big challenge until he brought the minister on board.
