Mathias Mpuuga, the National Unity Platform –NUP Deputy President in charge of the Central region, has announced the death Francis Senteza Kalibbala, who has been a member of Robert Kyagulanyi’s immediate security team.
The bodyguard was yesterday pronounced dead soon after arrival at Rubaga hospital where he was rushed in a bid to save life.
He was reportedly run over by a military vehicle at Busega as they were escorting the ambulance that was rushing journalist Ashraf Kasirye to hospital after he had been shot in the head in Masaka.
Their leader presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi was in the ambulance with Ashraf at the time his bodyguard was being run over by the military vehicle.
The Uganda People’s Defense Force later last evening broke its silence and clarified that the late Frank Senteza, the bodyguard to Robert Kyagulanyi the National Unity Platform Presidential candidate fell off a moving car registration number UBF 850z he tried to jump to but failed, and was not crushed to death as earlier claimed.
Meanwhile, Mr. Enanga, the police mouth piece said that the forces had violent confrontations with NUP candidate Kyagulanyi and his supporters at a check point in Kyabakuza in Masaka after defying the route plan agreed upon to Kyotera District. END
