    Teachers are now back on vending silver fish (Omukene).

    A teacher from precious Dian primary school in Entebbe Municipality, Ms. Immaculate Masika is temporarily vending silver fish (omukene) in Mawa market Kasese Municipality for survival after the government lockdown against COVID-19.

    Speaking to Kasese guide radio yesterday, Ms Immaculate however decried the low turn up of customers she said has frustrated her business plan.

    She used the same time appealing to civil servants to join small scale business enterprises during this lockdown for survival.

    Another Vendor Ms. Florence Kyakimwa who deals in the sale of passion fruits also reported that restricting farmers from mountainous areas to access Mawa market had greatly affected business since they were among daily essential suppliers.

    Ms. Annet Kimogholho another vendor asked Kasese district COVID-19 taskforce to suspend the supply of relief items to the vendors in Mawa market but allow them to continue with their business.

     Ms Kimogholho Adds;……

    Earlier, the Chairperson LC 3 Nyamwamba division Mr. Saidi Kisuki told our reporter that all vendors operating near Mawa Market will temporarily be suspended by law enforcement officers.
