Police in Kasese district are holding Ms Elizabeth Kabugho, a teacher for reportedly taking a picture of a geography paper she was supervising at Vision Vocational secondary school in Kisinga subcounty, with intentions to share it out.
Addressing media at his office yesterday, SP. Nelson Tumusiime, Rwenzori East Regional Police spokesperson confirmed the last weekend incident, adding that Mdm. Elizabeth 26, a teacher at Kisinga Vocations secondary school, reportedly photographed a geography paper with intentions to leak it out, an act that is against the rules and regulations of the Uganda National Examinations Board.

In a separate later, Mr. Ernest Bwambale Thabugha, the Kasese District Education Officer who said tougher punishments had been stipulated by the amended law, warned teachers and learners against examination malpractices he said could lead to long prison sentences and certificate cancellation to those found guilty.
