A section of Taxi operators in Kasese municipality have expressed concern over the high fuel prices asking Government for fuel subsidies.
They claim the prices of fuel have remained high since March
In addition, drivers argue that fuel stations in Kasese should have uniform prices since fuel companies reportedly import and are levied the same taxes.
Mr. Moses Kyuji Karutaro, the Chairperson Kasese taxi park said the skyrocketing prices of fuel has caused food insecurity and theft of passengers by drivers to suit the economic hardships.
