Mr. Johnson Masereka, the project coordinator for Kyalhumba Banywani Tree farmers, a non -governmental organization based in Kasese district has called for touchable interventions to deal with the negative effects of climatic change.
He said the fight for a protected environment requires collective efforts but not left only to government and her development partners as the community members sit back to lament.
Speaking to the press at the Holy Trinity Kyalhumba parish shortly after giving relief aid to landslide victims from the eight camps in Kyalhumba and Kyondo sub counties yesterday, Mr. Masereka was quick to call for joint efforts in protecting echo-systems by planting indigenous bamboo trees among others, along all water sources as a mitigating measure.
