The Kasese district local council five chairperson, Mr. Eriphaz Muhindi has said they were finalizing plans to consult Surveyors from the ministry of lands to locate and evacuate one of the missing dead bodies of the Kasika mudslide Victims in Rukoki subcounty in Kasese district.
Mr. Muhindi was responding to concerns last week by the former Kasese district woman Member of Parliament, Hon. Kiiza Winfred who as she delivered relief aid from North America Rwenzori-Bakonzo association, asked government to expedite the process of locating the missing body that has left many local community members puzzled.
Whereas sixteen people had been recorded as the number of the people who died in the early September mudslides in Kasika, one body is still un counted for.
Mr. Muhindi said they were to engage the ministry of lands because surveyors there do use specialized equipment that can be of help in locating the missing body. Mr. Muhindi speaking1………..
