By Barbra Muhindo,
Mr. Juvenile Muke, the Kyondo subcounty local council three chairperson, has reaffirmed his earlier position for the resumption of the traditional ways of burying victim of suicide as means to bring down the increasing cases among members of the public.
He said whereas he supports the intensified sensitization plans against the vise, the humiliating approaches of burying bodies of suicide, would awaken the community and create fear over the decisions to take their lives.
Mr. Juvenile’s comments follow reports that two people in his subcounty alone, had committed suicide in a period of less than two weeks.
Mr. Juvenile who said committing suicide wasn’t a solution but shame to the deceased and misery to bereaved family, asked the locals to condemn the decision by the deceased by beating the body and burying it without honor as it was done in the past. Mr. Juvenile speaking…..
He later asked members of the community to learn to consult, join Church movements and be prayerful, as means to guide their consciousness against wrong decisions. END
