Traders along Mukirania Street in Kasese town have asked the Municipal authority to evacuate all street children from Kasese town who have turned into notorious thieves.
The call was sounded by one of the traders Ms Goretti Tusabe whose Boutique was broken into and left empty by suspected street children who have since disappeared from their usual meeting points behind Saad house.
Ms Tusabe who couldn’t hold up her tears testified to Kasese guide radio how she was shocked after realizing that her Business had been taken away. Ms. Tusabe speaking……
Ms Jenipher Mbabazi a saloon operator behind Saad House also told Kasese guide radio how she has lost various properties to suspected street children for the last four years before she called for quick intervention by the municipality authority against these street children.

The senior probation officer for Kasese district, Ms Zainabu Asiimwe has since directed officers in-charge of children from other lower local government to submit data about street children if they are to properly plan for them. Ms Zainabu one….
Ms Zainabu also reported that four children were abandoned in Kasese district and that there’s increased number of children coming from the village to town a situation she regretted. END.
