The local council three chairperson for central division in Kasese Municipality, Mr. Safari Martinis concerned about the increasing number of street children at a time the municipality is hosting a big tusker lite Rwenzori marathon today.
Addressing council members of Central Division yesterday, Mr. Safari revealed that street kids are steadily increasing on the streets of the town something that gives a discomfort environment to the tourists that have come a head of Rwenzori Theluji Festival.
Mr. Safari who attributed the increase of children on streets to domestic violence in families, peer pressure among others asked Police to round up and detain them in order to end the vice.
