A two-year-old boy was yesterday reported to have been hit by a stray bullet fired by flying squad operatives attached to the Albertine regional police.
The victim ltakabir Kyakuhaire, a resident of Bulemwa cell in Hoima West Division, Hoima City was injured when the operatives opened fire as they pursued suspected thieves who were traveling in a car registration number UBB 533X Toyota wish.
Ms Margret Atuhurra, the mother says, saw her son falling down and bleeding after the stray bullet hit him.

Julius Hakiza, the Albertine region Police Spokesperson has regretted the incident saying the matter will be investigated despite the fact that the stolen car the flying squad operatives were pursuing, was recovered. END
