By Peter Masereka,
St. Joseph Kibwa Catholic Church in Nyakahya Parish has been officially opened as a sub parish with a call on Christians to work against laziness and ignorance.
In his Homily while presiding over Holy Mass at the church yesterday, the Nyakahya Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Joseph Tumusiime wondered why some people would desire to eat, drink and dress well but unwilling to work; a situation he blames for the increasing poverty levels and food insecurity.
He called for mindset change and encouraged Christians to work hard for the future by engaging in every incoming generating activity available that however glorifies Christ. Fr. Tumusiime speaking ….
Fr. Tumusiime who was critical on what he called reckless dressing by young men and ladies, later asked the energetic young to have plans that would see them prosper and shine in future.
Mr. Moses Baluku, a co-founder and head of Laity of the Church highlighted a number of challenges including lack of a good church structure and enough land, as well as the incomplete health centre two structure among others that require physical and spiritual support from God’s children. Mr. Moses speaking …..
He also asked parents and guardians to invest more in the morals of their children for a firm Church of Christ. END
