The Archbishop of Juba Most Rev. Stephen Ameyu Martin Mulla has called on the faithful to be patient on reopening of churches, prayer centres and schools in the Archdiocese.
According to him, schools and places of worship cannot operate without clear understanding of Covid-19 preventive measures and people’s adherence to them, Radio Bakhita reported.
Archbishop Ameyu said the Church is drawing a plan on how churches and schools in the Archdiocese of Juba can resume operations.
He urges the faithful to continue respecting the preventive measures provided by health experts in order to reduce the spread of Coronavirus.
The Metropolitan Archbishop said the Church is also concerned about the suffering of teachers during the Covid-19 pandemic.
He encouraged the faithful to pray for God’s intervention to end the pandemic.
Archbishop Ameyu spoke during a one-day workshop for teachers drawn from various learning institutions in the Archdiocese of Juba on Thursday September 3, 2020.
