South Rwenzori Diocese is mourning the demise of a retired Anglican Church of Uganda Cleric, the Rev. Can. Yonah Kule, the first Dean of St. Paul’s Cathedral who passed on yesterday aged of 89.
The Diocesan Secretary, the Rev. Nason Mugisa confirmed the death of the fallen church Minister to Kasese guide radio.
According to the Diocesan Secretary, the fallen Priest passed on at 1:00pm yesterday at AFYA Medical Centre in Kasese town.
According to Rev. Mugisa, the deceased was among the first Church Ministers who advocated for the creation of South Rwenzori Diocese out of Ruwenzori Diocese.
Late Rev.Yonah, who hails from Rwentutu village in Lake Katwe Sub-county, also served as Principal for Kisinga Divinity College.

He described the fallen priest as a hardworking Lord’s servant.
During requiem mass at St. Paul’s Cathedral last evening the Sub-dean, Ven. Charles Mbusa, asked the Christians to always repent against their sins and get prepared for death.
The Diocesan Bishop, Rt. Rev. Nason Baluku said south Rwenzori diocese had lost a dictionary and dedicated servant of lord who lived an inspirational life. May his soul rest in Eternal peace. END
