There overnight jubilation by Nyakatonzi Growers Cooperative Union casual staff who reoccupied their staff quarters that had for decades housed Unique valley primary school in Kasese Municipality, Kasese Guide Radio has learnt.
To most casual staff members including Mr. Salveri Baluku bell clerk and Mr. William Kasune, the ruling was a relief to them now that they have a permanent accommodation as workers after more than two decades when Unique Valley primary, known to be the tenant, intends to take over ownership. According to our reporter, the jubilation by their staff last evening, followed a ruling by the High Court at Kasese that dismissed an application by Unique Valley Primary school leadership that sought for a temporary injunction halting the activities of the union as a landlord, according to Ms Madina Muhindo, the union’s administrative assistant.
